The End of Corporate Computing

In the history of commerce, I agree totally to the writer’s opinion of a prediction about the future. But he failed to notice two points.
First of all, being the first aim that companies are pursuing the profits, they might have re-invested their saved money in marketing, R&D, another facilities, etc. to change from asset to expense. That’s the point companies were fascinated, so they might have think that they could make more money using the money saved. In spite of comparing IT Industry with steam power and electricity exquisitely, there might be a mistake. According to the book by Jeremy Rifkin, capitalism starting with possession and commercialization entered upon a new phase that people are no more possessing privately but access temporary. It’s not a problem of the industrial structure but of the social structure. Therefore the writer must comment on the social structure.
